Valentine's Day

IES Sundbyberg

During week 7 IES Sundbyberg students and staff have celebrated Valentine's Day in multiple ways. Our grade 4 students have had Friendship week. The purpose of this week was to focus on being better friends and practicing their teamwork skills. Each student received a paper from their mentor filled with tasks that they were supposed to do before Valentine's Day. Today, just before lunch, it was time for the big final and they surprised the rest of the school with a 'flash mob dance' out on the school yard. The students and mentors had been practicing all week. We thank you all for the time and effort that was put into this event!

Our Librarian, Ms Delforge, has arranged for romance novels to be displayed during the week. She has also made bookmarks for our students that fit nicely in to the theme. Students were also encouraged to spread positive thoughts to one another by writing it down on a post-it and decorate a wall.

The expo was focused on the English, Swedish, French, German and Spanish. The venue was beautifully decorated with various things that represent the countries chosen where the languages are spoken.
